Job Summary The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and handing over elevators and escalators to customers while ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures. The role involves coordination with installation teams, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project completion and timely handover. Key Responsibilities • Perform testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walks as per company standards and safety regulations. • Verify installation quality and ensure all systems are functioning correctly before handover. • Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections, troubleshooting, and rectification of commissioning issues. • Coordinate with installation teams, project managers, contractors, consultants, and customers for project completion. • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and quality requirements during commissioning activities. • Prepare commissioning reports, inspection records, and handover documentation. • Attend customer inspections and support third-party audits as required. • Provide technical guidance to installation teams for resolving site-related issues. • Ensure timely project handover while meeting customer satisfaction targets. • Support training and knowledge sharing activities for field teams. Required Qualifications • Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline. • ITI candidates with relevant elevator commissioning experience may also be considered. Experience • 3–8 years of experience in elevator installation, testing, and commissioning. • Experience in handling passenger, freight, MRL, and high-rise elevators preferred. • Prior experience in the elevator industry is mandatory. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of elevator control systems and commissioning procedures. • Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. • Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance requirements. • Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills. • Good communication and customer-handling abilities. • Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
